SWITCHING DEVICE FOR INPUT MODE

PURPOSE:To continuously input alphamerics and KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) by using an input mode locking key to inhibit switching of the present input mode. CONSTITUTION:In an alphameric or KATAKANA input mode a function key (input mode locking key) 200 set at 12 of row B is pushed. Thus the character input mode is locked and kept invariable until the second push of the key 200. As a result, the input mode is never changed even with push of a conversion key 400 in an alphameric or KATAKANA input mode. Thus the continuous input of alphamerics and KATAKANA is made possible.
