PURPOSE:To attain high recording sensitivity and to prevent the separation of a substance from a recording region and a change in the shape by utilizing a change in the absorption spectrum of a cyanine dye due to the J-associated body so as to record information. CONSTITUTION:A change in the absorption spectrum of a cyanine dye due to the J-associated body is utilized. The cyanine dye is selected one kind of among compd. represented by formula I, II or III. The J-associated body of the cyanine dye has a sharper absorption peak on the longer wavelength side than the single molecule and information is recorded with the absorption spectrum of the J-associated body. Thus, high resolution and recording sensitivity are attained and the separation of a substance from the recording region and a change in the shape can be prevented. |
