Nystagmus spectacles (1) possess a housing (2) that surrounds the eye region of a subject and screens it off on the side, and spectacle lenses (3) designed as magnifying lenses, as well as light sources (4) that illuminate the eye region and are screened off towards the outside by the spectacle housing. The illumination inside the spectacle housing (2) is screened off relative to the eyes of the subject and designed as indirect illumination in that, for example, a screening member (7) is arranged in each case inside the spectacle housing (2) between the light source (4) and the eyes of the patient, and in that the inside of the spectacle housing (2) is made reflective at least over some areas (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
