<p>PURPOSE:To realize high compressibility by dividing-compressing a picture element group to compose dummy halftone image data into blocks for 2X2 blocks, and restoring the compressed data to the dummy halftone image data. CONSTITUTION:The picture element group to compose the dummy halftone image data are divided into the blocks for the 2X2 picture elements adjoining in a two-dimensional space, the number of black or white picture elements in respective blocks is converted to the binary number of 2 bits or 3 bits corresponding to the number of the picture elements, and thereby, the data are compressed. Next, the number of the black picture elements in respective blocks is converted to the binary number of 2 bits or 3 bits corresponding to the number of the picture elements, and thereby, original image data are compressed. As to the compressed image data, an accumulation, a transmission, etc., are executed, and the data are restored to the original dummy halftone image data at the time of processing, displaying, etc. Thus, the compressibility can be improved.</p> |
