PURPOSE:To enable loading and carrying out a roll, metallic chock assembly without guiding by any assistant worker, by making a rearranging carriage into a split type and by sliding and rotating to open and shut in the roll rearranging apparatus for a rolling mill having a work roll and an intermediate roll. CONSTITUTION:The roll rearranging carriage is composed of a fixed carriage 1, sliding carriage 2, cylinder 3 for the sliding carriage and rotating carriage 4. The carriage 2 is installed on the carriage 1 and to be opened and shut by the cylinder 3. The carriage 4 is connected with the carriage 2 and rotated to take in and out manually or by an actuator. By this method, when the roll- chock assembly is loaded on the carriage and carried out from the carriage, a wide space is maintained because the carriage is opened, any interference between a projecting part of the metallic chock and a rail in the carriage is eliminated. Therefore, the assistant worker for guiding is disused. |
