PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of a processing water by specifying the amount of a replenisher to be replenished to a washing step and/or a stabilizing step to 1-50 times of the amount of being carried over from a prebath per unit area of the sensitive material to be processed, and by incorporating a water soluble polymer coupler in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The amount of the replenisher to be replenished to the washing step and/or the stabilizing step is specified to 1-50 times of the amount of being carried over from the prebath per unit area of the sensitive material to be processed, and at least one kind of water soluble polymer couplers is incorporated in the photosensitive material. In this case, the aqueous polymer is a polymer in which >=1.0wt.%, preferably >=10wt.% of the polymer dissolves in a distilled water at 40 deg.C. Thus, the processing time of the washing and stabilizing steps is reduced, and the consumption of the processing water can be reduced. |
