The present invention relates to an earth contact for a connector for coaxial cables of the type including a rigid conducting core surrounded by a dielectric material which is itself surrounded by an outer conductor, the assembly being enclosed in an insulating outer jacket. This contact is constituted by a body 10' which includes a first cylindrical chamber 11 of diameter substantially equal to the external diameter of the jacket and a second cylindrical chamber 12 of smaller diameter extending the first chamber, the shoulder 16 joining the two chambers being provided with a groove 17 intended to receive the free end of the jacket and of the outer conductor.
