The egg-cup for raw or boiled eggs is in two parts (1,2) made of glass, wood, ceramic, metal or plastic. The cup-shaped underneath part (1) has a base (1a) on which it stands, for holding the egg and has a top part (2) placed on top of it. The top part (2) has a slit (2e) in it, into which is inserted a knife for decapitating the egg. The top part (2) incorporates a sprung egg-cap (2b) which fixes the position of the egg during cutting. An insertion-piece (1b) inside the top part (2) lifts up the egg. USE/ADVANTAGE - The egg-cup has a cover placed on top of the bottom part so that a knife is inserted into the dividing slit to remove the egg-top.
