PURPOSE:To reduce switching loss and to lower noise level by storing energy of rectified output from an AC power source in a resonance circuit comprising an inductor and a resonance capacitor then charging a smoothing capacitor with the energy. CONSTITUTION:Collectors and emitters of transistors Q1, Q2 are connected with the cathodes and anodes of diodes D1, D2, and the transistors Q1, Q2 are turned ON/OFF alternately. The power source equipment comprises a series circuit of the switching elements Q1, D1, Q2, D2 with the forward direction thereof being matched, a smoothing capacitor C2 connected in parallel therewith, first and second resonance capacitors C3, C4 connected in parallel between DC output terminals of a rectifier 4, first and second diodes D7, D8 connected between the rectifier 4 and the smoothing capacitor C2, an inductor L2 connected between the joint of the capacitors C3, C4 and the joint of the transistors Q1, Q2, and the like. By such arrangement, switching loss is reduced and noise level is lowered. |
