The semicircular cylindrical casing (8) is rotated about a vertical axis (7) into a first position (8), after which the turnstile is open to one side as well as in to a second position (C), in which it isopen to the other side of the passage (1). The wall (4) and the casing (8) are nearly semicircular in cross-section. A second limiting element (9), designed as a swing door, is arranged at a distance of nearly the wall radius away from the axis (7) and approximately symmetrical to the wall (4) to restrict the passage (1). The casing (8) is rotatable about respectively 90 deg. in four positions (A,B,C,D). In the third position (A), the turnstile is closed to both sides and in the fourth position (D) both sides are open. USE - Turnstile for controlling access to areas, buildings and rooms. Suitable for escape passage in emergency and for entry with awkward goods. |
