PURPOSE:To make it possible to check lighting even if a stop lamp receives a beam of light directly by controlling a liquid crystal panel set up in front of a lens at a front part of the stop lamp so as to become transparent when the lamp is lighted. CONSTITUTION:A colored lens 10 is installed in front of a case 9 of a stop lamp 2 and a reflector 11 and two bulbs 12 are installed inside respectively. When such one as turning to a dark color at time of being energized is used for a liquid crystal panel 14 attached to a front part of the lens 10, current energization is released when a brake pedal is operated, and it is made so as to be energized again when pedal operation is released. When an ignition switch is closed, a main switch 19 is also closed, and a drive circuit 20 is energized with current via a normally closed contact type liquid crystal panel switch 18, whereby the liquid crystal panel 14 becomes opaque. As the brake pedal is operated and a stop lamp 17 is turned to ON, the bulbs 12 are energized with current and the stop lamp 2 is lighted and simultaneously the liquid crystal panel switch 18 is linked up and opened, so that the liquid crystal panel 14 becomes transparent. |
