PURPOSE:To improve control accuracy of the rotating speed of a capstan motor by selecting a suitable frequency dividing ratio in a course in which a tape speed is changed. CONSTITUTION:When the reproducing button is depressed in a scanning system 23, a frequency dividing ratio LAMBDA1/N of a frequency divider 29 is set to '1' through a system controller 14a in a microcomputer 14, and the rotating speed of a motor 9 is made 4a in a reproducing mode 1. Then, a pulse signal 5a is outputted from an FG 10 and an interruption signal 15 is supplied from the frequency divider 29 to the microcomputer 14. When the mode is switched to a cue mode by a cue button, the speed of the motor 9 is speedily raised and fixed to the normal state of the cue mode. The microcomputer 14 outputs a command 14c to a frequency divider 9 to set the frequency dividing ratio to 1/N=1/m2N, and judges that the FG 10 goes to a state to send a fixed frequency. Then, the frequency dividing ratio of the frequency divider 29 is switched to 1/N=1/mN at a switching point 2a and the speed of the motor 9 is made m-fold in comparison with the speed at the time of reproducing. |
