A device which is used as a respiratory aid, is characterised by a support means (7), located in the channel (4), which includes a support surface (11) forming a transversal wall allowing air to flow through. Said device is further characterised by a flap-valve (12) set against the transversal wall by a fixing means (13) which defines a fixing area (9), said valve being downstream of the wall in relation to the flow of inhaled air. The flap-valve is made of a flexible material, and can be distorted in such a way as to allow, on the one hand, its distortion both radially and axially from the fixing area, and on the other hand, it to be maintained in a sealed relationship against the transversal wall while undergoing the effect of an exhaled air flow. The device is also characterised by the fact that the connecting means is a connection grip (5) set in the tip (19) which is used for connection to a forced oxygenation appliance.
