AUTOMATIC CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPTICAL DETECTOR

The apparatus is for manufacturing the laser pick up automatically. The apparatus adjusts the diameter of laser beam up to 1.6 microm, and a light receiving device which center part is received the laser beam correctly. The pick up coil drive signal through a first and a second switch is applied to the pick up coil, then an object glass operates. A search signal from a third switch is applied to the laser pick up coil to focus the laser beam when the focusing the laser beam is completed. The laser receiving device receives the laser beam refleated by the disk and generates the first-fourth currents using the first-fourth laser receiving segments. The apparatus compensates the focus error by moving a focus lens and X,Y-axis erros by applying the X, Y axis compensation voltage to X,Y-axis actuators with the first-fourth currents.
