PURPOSE:To attain an access to a designated computer by storing the address information on each computer into a center computer and returning the address information with a request given from each work station. CONSTITUTION:A center computer 53 is provided with an address information storage file 52 which stores the address information on each computer, an address information retrieving means 51, and an address information return means 54 which sends the address information to a remote computer 64 via a communication medium 65. Meanwhile each computer 64 is provided with an own/another computer deciding means 61 which decides whether the request given from a work station 31 is addressed to its own or another computer. If the request is addressed to another computer, an other computer address acquisition means 62 asks the means 51 to retrieve the address information and receives the address information from the means 54. Then an address infor mation send-back means 63 sends the address information back to the requester station 31.
