PURPOSE:To produce a food container which is freed from the problem of bleeding during the extrusion molding of a sheet, freed from granular structures, lowly odorous and improved in transparency, rigidity and heat resistance by thermoforming an extruded sheet made from a specified composition. CONSTITUTION:3-Methyl-1-butene (b) is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst (a) comprising a solid titanium catalyst component essentially consisting of a magnesium halide, a titanium halide and an electron donor and an organoaluminum compound, and then propylene is polymerized to obtain a propylene copolymer (B) of a component (b) content of 0.001-10wt.%. A propylene/ethylene random copolymer (A) of a melt flow rate of 0.1-10g/10 min and an ethylene content of 0.5-6wt.% is mixed with component B to obtain a composition of a component (b) content of 0.0001-1wt.%. This composition is extrusion-molded into an extruded sheet, which is thermoformed to obtain a food container. |
