PURPOSE: To provide a tube which is radiation non-penetrative and optically transparent and has no possibility that even if the tube comes into contact with humor fluid and/or a liquid given to the body, poisonous matter leaks by using biological compatible polymer and radiation ray impermeable polymer halide. CONSTITUTION: A main body part 12 has an inner wall 16 and an outer wall 18. One or more stripes 20 of radiation ray impermeable polymer are arranged in the longitudinal direction along at least a part of the catheter length, and wrapped in the main body part 12. In the drawing, a catheter having preferable six stripes is shown, but it may have one to nine stripes. The catheter main body part may use any polymer if it is a thermoplastic base polymer which has biological compatibility and will not emit poisonous matter even if it comes into contact with a body fluid for a long time. Preferably, a polymer has flexibility and mechanical strength enough to be inserted in a winding body fluid passage. |
