PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, to facilitate assembly and to make an optical isolator light in weight and low-priced by constituting the optical isolator only of an optical fiber consisting of a core and a clad. CONSTITUTION:Many fiber modules 10 obtained by providing the core 2 in the clad 8 are prepared. This fiber module 10 is constituted so that the diameter of the core 2 of the end face 3 on an incident side on which light is made incident may be enlarged. By successively and consecutively fusing the end faces of many fiber modules 10 on the side where the diameter of the core is enlarged and on the side where it is not enlarged, the fiber type optical isolator 1 is constituted. |
