摘要 A bipedal robot, comprising an upper body (1) having an upper side upper bod y (5) and a lower side upper body (6) connected to each other through a rotati ng mechanism (13) so as to be rotated relative to each other about a vertical rotating axis (C), and two leg bodies (2) extended from the lower side upper body (6) and two arm bodies (3) extended from shoulder parts (14) on both sides of the upper side upper body (5), wherein the longitudinal thickness ( D) of the upper side upper body (5) and the lateral width (Wd) of the lower sid e upper body (6) are smaller than the lateral width (shoulder width) (Wu) of t he shoulder part (14), and a storage device (8) as a robot operating power supp ly is mounted on the upper side upper body (5) and an electronic circuit unit (11) for controllably operating the robot is mounted on the lower side upper body (6), whereby the working capacity of the robot can be increased without impairing the stability of the attitude of the robot in working.
