PURPOSE: To surely, quickly and economically reduce organic compounds in a liquid and/or gas flow by providing a reactor with an inner surface for reflecting ultraviolet rays at a high efficiency and a means for causing a turbulent flow on the inner surface or opposing to the surface. CONSTITUTION: This reactor device comprises a flow reactor 1, at least one ultraviolet rays lamp 2 and inlet and outlet conduits. Photochemical reaction is proceeded in a liquid and/or gas flow by radiating ultraviolet rays from the lamp 2, and the photochemical reactor 1 is preferably used to reduce organic compounds, particularly some aliphatic, aromatic and/or heterocyclic organic compounds that may be substituted with halogen at one or two positions or that may include N and C in a same molecule. The reactor 1 is provided with an inner surface for reflecting ultraviolet rays at a high efficiency and warping plates for causing a turbulent flow on the inner surface or opposing to the surface. |
