PURPOSE:To extremely quickly release photographically useful group by a reaction with reducing agent by allowing specified compound to contain in a photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The compound containing nitrogen-oxygen single bond expressed by the formula I is contained. In the formula I, EAG is an electron acceptor group, A is a group releasing PUG as a trigger reaction for cleavage of oxygen- nitrogen single bond with following reaction, B is hydrogen atom or alkyl group, etc., (n) is integer of 0 or 1 and PUG is a photographically useful group. When n=0, PUG is expressed by the formula II. In the formula II, X and Y are atoms of groups which is necessary to change group expressed by the formula II into photographically useful group. In the formula I and II, solid line shows a single bond and broken lines show bonds by which atom and group combine with one of them.
