PURPOSE:To reduce the distance between activated carbon particles in an activated-carbon electrode used for electrochemical elements, such as capacitors, batteries, etc., and, at the same time, to improve the bonding strength between the activated carbon particles. CONSTITUTION:This activated carbon electrode is constituted by bonding activated carbon particles 1 with a chemical bond 2 containing the surface functional group of the activated carbon. Therefore, an activated carbon electrode which is small in sheet resistance and excellent in chemical stability, having a large area and high flexibility can be obtained. |
