PURPOSE:To simply extract color in a way which suits the sense of humans. CONSTITUTION:One or more points in color picture which is displayed on a color monitor 11 are directed in a color specification part 14 for mouse or the like. The representative color to be extracted is decided based on the color of picture element directed in a representative color decision part 15. A color extraction part 17 extracts the color similar to the representative color from the color picture stored in a picture storage part 12, storing it in an extraction result holding memory 18. Moreover, parameters specifying the color extraction range is inputted from a parameter input part 16. |
