A method of rotatable connecting of ignition breaker plates with the ignition distributor, characterized in that the sleeves (3) and (4) of both breaker plates (1) and (2) are of such length so that the sleeve (4) of the upper plate (1) project from the sleeve (3) of the bottom plate (2), where the plates (1) and (2) mounted according to a known method, are pressed to each other and held in that state, and further they are fixed in a machine tool with sleeves (3) and (4) directed towards the tool, and further, with application of a special knife (12), the ends of both sleeves (3) and (4) are machined at the same time: the end of the sleeve (3) of the bottom plate (2) is machined flat, the end of the sleeve (4) of the upper plate (1) projecting from the sleeve (3) of the bottom plate (2), not far from the end of the sleeve (3) of the bottom plate (2), preferably 0.1-0.15 millimetre, is machined in such a manner so that the diameter (13) of this part of the sleeve (4) of the upper plate (1) is decreased, and further, a ring (16) limiting the axial clearance of the upper plate (1) is put on the part of the sleeve (4) of the upper plate (1) with lesser diameter (13), and now, with application of the roller (17) mounted in the same machine tool, the free end (18) of the sleeve (4) of the upper plate (1) is kneaded on the ring (16) limiting the axial clearance of the upper plate (1) and the plates (1) and (2) fixed together in such a manner are removed from the machine tool, the preliminary pressing down of both plates (1) and (2) is eliminated, they are fitted with a flat spring (19) pressing down the upper plate (1) to the bottom plate and the complete breaker unit is directed to further assembly according to a known method.<IMAGE>
