The color filter is mfd. by (a) forming a flattening layer on the silicon substrate, (b) forming a dyeing layer on the flattening layer of polyamide material, and forming a middle layer on the dyeing layer, (c) repeat-treating the process (b) at least two times, (d) forming a lens layer on the middle layer, and forming a lens pattern by light-exposing and developing the lens layer, (e) forming a lens by heat-treating the pattern at low temperature. The filter is used for coloring of the solid image pickup device.
