PURPOSE:To improve the image pickup sensitivity by coating a transparent organic film as the uppermost protective film so as to provide a rugged face to a solid-state image pickup element and increase the utilizing factor of light. CONSTITUTION:After the transparent organic film 6 is coated uniformly on a color filter 4 formed on the solid-state image pickup element as the uppermost protective film, only the wiring part excluding a picture element (diode) section is exposed. Then, a convexed face is formed by development. The sensitivity is improved by nearly 2dB by the convexed face. |
