Power station operating system - uses fuel requiring drying extracts, involving drying exhaust=gas current after convection flue and delivers to fuel mill

The drying gas is extracted after the convection flue (2), and is delivered to the mill (3) at between 300 and 400 deg. C, pref. 350 deg. C. The entire exhaust-gas current can be fed to the mill for drying, the mixture of gas and fuel from the latter passing through a separator (7). The dried fuel and vapour is separated from the residual fuel and fed to a system extracting sulphur from the exhaust. All the fuel, together with recirculated exhaust gas, is delivered to the burners. USE/ADVANTAGE - Partic. for brown coal. Improved thermal efficiency while using conventional power-station equipment.
