An information input device comprises an input pen (9) serving as coordinate indicating means, a transparent coordinate input board (201) which this input pen (9) is allowed to touch, a tablet (2) having a coordinate finding board (202) for finding the coordinate at which the input pen (9) touches the board, a display (18) on which this tablet (2) is superposed, and an operating unit (16) which works out the coordinates. The operability of the input pen (9) when it is made to touch the transparent coordinate input board (201) is good, and the display on the display (18) is easily viewed through the transparent coordinate input board (201). The pen point (902) of the input pen (9) is coated with a polymeric film (902B) having a flexural elastic modulus of 300 kg/mm<2> or less, and a hardness of 50 to 120 on the Rockwell R-scale. The coefficient of the dynamic friction between the input pen (9) and coordinate input board (201) is 0.15 to 0.4. |
