PURPOSE:To provide the rotary mirror which is high in production efficiency, is inexpensive, has high accuracy, simplifies the process for production in the case of use of the mirror as an optical polarizer and facilitates the assembly and adjustment thereof. CONSTITUTION:Film-like layers consisting of a resin are formed in multiple layers on the surfaces to be formed as reflection mirror surfaces on the peripheral surfaces of a base body having a circular columnar or prism-shaped parts, by that, the resin films of good surface accuracy transferring the shapes and planes of molds and other transfer plates with extremely high accuracy are formed and thin films having a high light reflectivity are formed on these resins, by that, the rotary mirror having the high accuracy is inexpensively produced. The resins shrink by several % to several 10% at the time of solidifying, but the flatness of the resins is made extremely small and uniform every time when the resin layers are superposed even if the base body having the poor surface roughness is used. The transferability of the shapes and planes of the molds and other transfer plates of the resins are improved. There is no need for correcting a surface inclination if the base plate mounted with a revolving shaft is used. |
