摘要 An apparatus for applying EM energy to a load may include at least one processor configured to receive information indicative of dissipated energy for each of a plurality of modulation space elements and group a number of the plurality of modulations space elements into at least two subsets based on the information received indicative of dissipated energy. The processor may also be configured to associate a power delivery protocol with each of the at least two subsets wherein the power delivery protocol differs between subsets and regulate energy applied to the load in accordance with each power delivery protocol.

An apparatus for applying electromagnetic energy to an object placed in an energy application zone, the apparatus comprising: at least one processor configured to: receive information indicative of energy dissipated in the object for each of a plurality of sets of values, each set including one or more values, wherein for each set, the one or more values are selected from a group consisting of one or more phase values, one or more relative amplitude values, and one or more frequency values of electromagnetic waves to be applied to the energy application zone, wherein for each set, the one or more values include at least one of a phase value or a relative amplitude value of the electromagnetic waves to be applied to the energy application zone;group one or more of the plurality of sets into a first subset based on the received information;group one or more of the plurality of sets into a second subset based on the received information;associate a first power delivery protocol with the first subset and a second power delivery protocol with the second subset; andregulate non-zero electromagnetic energy application to the object in accordance with the first and second power delivery protocols,wherein the first subset includes at least two sets and the at least two sets differ from each other in only one of a phase value or a relative amplitude value.
