PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric booster of which increase of a size, a weight and cost of manufacture can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In an electric booster 1, a screw shaft 41 is provided with a pair of projections which project from an inner peripheral surface and extend in a circumferential direction, and a stopper member 60 is fixed to a rear end part of a cylindrical part 10 of a housing 2. Further, a guide mechanism is so configured that a side face of the projection in the circumferential direction is brought into contact with corresponding guide faces of a pair of arm parts of the stopper member 60 which extends to a master cylinder 8 side between an input plunger 3 and the screw shaft 41 thereby blocking rotation of the screw shaft 41 relative to the housing 2 and permitting a linear movement of the screw shaft 41 relative to the housing 2 in a cross direction. Thus, the screw shaft 41, and consequently, the whole of the electric booster 1 can be decreased in a size, a weight and a cost.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
