PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric for absorbent articles which is excellent in strength and softness and also excellent in liquid permeability to body fluids such as urine, menstrual blood and the like, regarding a nonwoven fabric for absorbent articles including a fiber layer formed of thermoplastic resin fibers and a fiber layer formed of thermoplastic resin fibers and cotton.SOLUTION: This invention is a nonwoven fabric for absorbent articles formed of at least two fiber layers including both a first fiber layer including cotton and thermoplastic resin fibers and a second fiber layer adjacent to at least one side of the first fiber layer and including thermoplastic resin fibers and not including cotton. The thermoplastic resin fibers included in the first fiber layer has a fiber diameter thinner than that of the thermoplastic resin fibers included in the second fiber layer. The nonwoven fabric has a specified structure provided with a plurality of projections and grooves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
