PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process image information efficiently.SOLUTION: A decoding method comprises: an acquisition step of acquiring encoded data including binarized data of luminance indicating intra prediction mode of luminance and binarized data of color difference indicating an intra prediction mode of color difference; and a decoding step of decoding the intra-picture prediction mode of luminance and the intra-picture prediction mode of color difference from the encoded data. The encoded data includes, after a first context dependent portion which is a part of the binarized data of the luminance and a second context dependent portion which is a part of the binarized data of the color difference, a first bypass part which is another part of the binarized data of the luminance and a second bypass part which is another part of the binarized data of the color difference. The decoding step includes decoding the first context dependent part and the second context dependent part by context adaptive arithmetic decoding and decoding the first bypass part and the second bypass part by bypass decoding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20 |
