PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safe migration of data in a storage system.SOLUTION: A method of migrating a storage system having an administration server and storing original data and duplicated data of the original data in different storage devices, respectively, comprises: calculating, by the administration server, an idle capacity of each storage device of the storage system; identifying, by the administration server, the storage device the idle capacity of which is equal to or larger than a capacity of the duplicated data as a candidate; identifying, by the administration server, a combination of the storage device identified as the candidate and a storage device storing the original data; calculating, by the administration server, a sum of values of data protection weights of the identified combination; and registering, by the administration server, the identified combination as a relay duplication destination when the calculated sum exceeds a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
