PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the amount of a wax vaporized component emitted from a fixing device.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device 30 that comprises: a rotatable heating member 31; a pressure member 32 that is in contact with the heating member 31 to form a fixing nip part N; and a cover member 37 that surrounds the heating member 31, and holds and conveys a recording material S carrying an unfixed toner image at a fixing nip part N and fixes the unfixed toner image to the recording material S with heat from the heating member 31. The fixing device includes a rotating body 36 having a generatrix direction substantially parallel to the generatrix direction of the heating member 31, and the rotating body 36 is provided between the heating member 31 and cover member 37 to form a gap with the heating member 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
