Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment of geographic atrophy associated with age-related macular degeneration in a subject, which comprises administering a 15-keto-prostaglandin compound to the subject in need of the treatment. The 15-keto-prostaglandin compound such as Isopropyl Unoprostone is useful for treating geographic atrophy as well as for preventing vision loss caused by geographic atrophy.
