PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device and the like that can precisely specify an image processing apparatus when specifying the image processing apparatus that a user intends to use by detecting radio wave strength from image processing apparatuses by the portable terminal device.SOLUTION: When a portable terminal device 50 moves accompanied with movement of a user possessing the terminal device, it detects the strength of radio waves output from image processing apparatuses 10a and 10b. The portable terminal device calculates a difference in radio wave strengths between the image processing apparatus having the largest radio wave strength and the other image processing apparatuses, about a plurality of image processing apparatuses in which detected radio wave strength is equal to or more than a preset first value, and specifies an image processing apparatus having the largest radio wave strength at timing when any of the differences exceeds a preset second value as an image processing apparatus that performs an accepted operation instruction.
