PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power unit capable of outputting an output voltage varying in frequency over a wide range with simple constitution.SOLUTION: An electric power unit 3 comprises a frequency conversion part 5 and a control part 6. The frequency converter 5 operates in a first operation mode in which a positive-polarity voltage of an input transformer voltage is output as an output voltage and a negative-polarity voltage is blocked and a second operation mode in which the positive-polarity voltage of the transformer voltage is blocked and the negative-polarity voltage is output as an output voltage. The control part 6 performs switching in cycles corresponding to a desired frequency so as to generate a first control signal for allowing the frequency conversion part 5 to operate in the first operation mode and a second control signal for allowing the frequency conversion part 5 to operate in the second operation mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
