PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication restriction program, capable of restricting an invalid message transmission to a network due to an invalid program injection.SOLUTION: An ECU 1 includes a CAN controller 15, having a register group 16 for storing values relevant to communication with another ECU 1, and a processing part 10 for performing a communication process by reading and writing a value for the register group 16. The ECU 1 changes a mode between a full control mode, capable of reading and writing for the register group 16 of the CAN controller 15, and a restriction mode in which reading and writing for a part of the register group 16 is restricted. The ECU 1 is in the full control mode during a predetermined period after start up, and changes the mode from the full control mode to the restriction mode, after elapsing the predetermined period. After the mode change to the restriction mode, the ECU 1 does not change the mode to the full control mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
