PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for maintenance of a turbomachine (e.g., compressor or turbine).SOLUTION: A system 10 includes a turbomachine. The turbomachine comprises: a rotor 44 comprising a plurality of blades 21; a casing 12 disposed about the rotor 44 and the plurality of blades 21; and an access opening 50 disposed in the casing 12; and an access panel 52 selectively coupled to the access opening 50, where the access opening 50 is sized to enable repair or replacement of at least one blade of the plurality of blades 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
