A test apparatus is described for simulated testing of a motor vehicle on at least one test bench. The test apparatus includes a frame structure in the form of a functional model of the motor vehicle structure including a front frame section with a functional front axle model a rear frame section with a functional rear axle model and a middle frame section arranged between the front frame section and the rear frame section. The length L of frame structure is variably adjustable.
