The invention provides an external tripping device of a circuit breaker which can largely maintain the size of an electromagnet device in a direction of a reel of a coil. The external tripping device of the circuit breaker comprises a box body which has an operating surface and is connected with a body of the circuit breaker, an operating par having an operating position which is exposed to the outside from the operating surface, a link mechanism which is configured inside the box body and transmits movement of an operating handle to the circuit breaker, and an electromagnet device which is configured inside the box body and has a coil which is electrified by a power supply connected with a connecting terminal arranged inside the box body and is switched between an excited state and an unexcited state when a supply voltage is abnormal and normal, when the supply voltage is abnormal, the link mechanism acts, and thus enabling the circuit breaker to carry out disconnection action. The electromagnet device is accommodated inside the box body by the way that the direction of the reel of the coil is parallel to the operating surface. |
