PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly accurately measuring the temperature of a tool when performing cutting work even in such a case that a single crystal diamond tool is used or that the cutting work is applied to a work-piece such as a resin.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for measuring a cutting temperature by a cutting apparatus comprising a shank having electric conductivity, and a tool fixed to the shank by a silver solder and having no electric conductivity. The method includes: processes of: connecting a first lead wire to the shank; connecting a second lead wire to the silver solder; and measuring thermal electromotive force generated between the first and second lead wires. |
