PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developer container from contacting a body-side terminal in separating the container from an image forming apparatus body, and increase the volume of the developer container storing a developer and decrease the size of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: At one end in the longitudinal direction of a toner cartridge 50, a container-side terminal 58 is provided, which is electrically connected to a body-side terminal 104 provided on an image forming apparatus body 100. The image forming apparatus body 100 is provided with a projection part 210 that projects to the inside of the image forming apparatus body 100 and contacts one end of the toner cartridge 50 immediately after the start of an operation to separate the toner cartridge 50. After one end of the toner cartridge 50 contacts the projection part 210, the separation operation is continued to move the other end in the longitudinal direction of the toner cartridge 50 in the separation direction prior to one end, thereby preventing contact of a container body 70 with the body-side terminal 104. |
