PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas closing method of a buried gas pipe in which soil around a branch joint need not be grossly excavated and removed, and which allows gas closing operation to be performed in a relatively short time.SOLUTION: A gas closing method of a buried gas pipe for closing gas conduction into a gas service pipe 2 connected to a gas conducting pipe 1 via a branch joint 4 with a closing valve 3 includes: an insertion process for inserting an inserting means 6 including a position specifying signal generation means 7 generating a position specifying signal and an imaging means 8 from the gas service pipe 2 toward the branch joint 4; a position fixing process for fixing a position of the branch joint 4 by confirming that an insertion end 6a of the inserting means 6 has reached the branch joint 4 with the imaging means 8 and specifying a position of the insertion end 6a reaching the branch joint 4 based on the position specifying signal; a drilling process for drilling a boring hole from the ground surface side to the branch joint 4 at the fixed position of the branch joint 4; and a closing process for inserting an operation tool into the boring hole to close gas conduction by the closing valve 3. |
