PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED device that is less likely to be separately perceived when used for a line light source even if the line light source is assembled into a tube-like diffusion member.SOLUTION: An encapsulation member 13 encapsulating an LED die 30 mounted on a circuit board 14 is provided with a V-groove formed over the whole of an upper surface. The V-groove is the lowest at a central part, is higher as it goes to an end part, and is filled with a white-color member 11. A white-color member 12 is provided on a pair of lateral faces of the encapsulation member 13 orthogonal to the V-groove. Therefore, while transmitted light is greatly attenuated at the central part of the V-groove, the light is leaked at the end part of the V-groove, and further, light toward a lateral part increases by reflection at the V-groove and the white-color member 12. |
