PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism for keeping a closed state of a hinged cover without impairing workability during cutting in a band saw cutting machine.SOLUTION: A band saw cutting machine comprises: a pair of saw wheels 13, 14 rotated by an electric motor 11 as a driving source; a saw wheel housing 20 for storing these front and rear saw wheels 13, 14; and an endless band saw 15 stretched between these front and rear saw wheels 13, 14. The saw wheel housing 20 is provided with a cover 50 covering the pair of saw wheels 13, 14. Here, a lock mechanism 70 for keeping a closed position of a cover 50 is set at an inner side than a go-around range of the band saw 15. This can eliminate bulkiness outside the go-around range of the band saw 15, and the lock mechanism 70 for keeping a closed state of the hinged cover 50 can be provided without impairing workability during cutting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
