PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary washing device which is safe and reliable by preventing erroneous detection and erroneous operation with improved detection accuracy of non-contact operation.SOLUTION: A sanitary washing device includes: a main body 200 which is installed on a toilet bowl 110 and incorporates an electric operation function; and a remote controller 400. The remote controller 400 has a non-contact switch 440, a remote controller control section 500 and a transmission section 436. The remote controller control section 500 has: a variation detection section 521 which detects a variation of output voltage of the non-contact switch 440; a change rate detection section 522 which detects a change rate; and an information processing section 590 which determines non-contact operation. The information processing section 590 can determine an access distance of a body site and a speed of operation action by determining the non-contact operation using the output voltage of the variation detection section 521 and the output voltage of the change rate detection section 522 and thereby preventing occurrences of erroneous detection and erroneous operation and improving safety and reliability. |
