PURPOSE:To simplify and expedite measurement by adding fluorescence-emitting liquid to the eluting solution of a sample and by measuring the intensity of fluorescence thereof. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-sending pump 2 for high-speed liquid chromatograph, a sample-introducing port 3, a column 4, a chemical reaction tank 7 and a fluorometer 8 are connected sequentially to a mobile phase 1, while a reactive liquid-sending pump 6 and the fluorescence-emitting liquid 5 are connected to the chemical reaction tank 7. And, the sample containing a minute quantity of thiamine component such as blood, urine and medicines is attached to the high-speed chromatography, and to the eluant thereof the alkaline dilute solution of a fluorescence-emitting reagent such as potassium ferricyanide is added consecutively as the fluorescence-emitting liquid, in the chemical reaction tank 7 exciting light is applied thereto continuously to make the same emit fluorescence, and the intensity of the fluorescence thereof is measured by the fluorometer 8. By this, the thiamine component is determined simply and rapidly. |
