Provided are a light source unit which can improve the space efficiency and the quality of a display panel, and a display device including the same. The light source unit includes: a light-emitting diode for emitting light; and a lens disposed over an upper portion of the light-emitting diode to refract the light in a predetermined direction. The lens includes a light incident part making contact with a top surface of the light-emitting diode, the light incident part upon which the light emitted from the light-emitting diode is incident; a light output part disposed over the light incident part; and a plurality of side surface parts surrounding the light incident part and the light output part, wherein the lights incident upon the light incident part are refracted at a predetermined refractive index to be output to the light output part and the side surface parts. A distance between the light incident part and the light output part is inverse proportional to a first angle defined as the maximum value of angles between the lights and the normal of a top surface of the light output part.
